Match Report Press Report

Wykeham 3 Lost to Petersfield 1 in a close match.

With the away team having higher Gradings in 4 of the strings, Home advantage looked to be needed to take the win. The stats turned out to be correct, with a fine Away win.

On paper, the number 4 string should have been the closest, with only 2 ranking points separating the two players before the match. Home advantage prevailed though, with Andy Durnford winning through.

It was the number 4 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 67 Points ! Victory finally going to the Home Player, Andy Durnford.

With 3 strings going the distance, the match turned out to be a hard-fought battle.

Player of the match must be the Away number 3 string, Sam Shuff, who over-turned a 96 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
